Meet Dr. Jessica Lofgren
Growing up playing sports, I knew I wanted to do something that would focus on optimizing health and helping others move and feel better. In college, I took a work-study position at a chiropractic office having no idea what chiropractic was about.”
Dr. Jess was so amazed watching people truly heal and feel better without masking their symptoms or finding a quick fix with medication. Her work-study assignment turned into a chiropractic assistant position for the next four years and she immediately applied for chiropractic school her senior year.
Education and Certifications
To prepare for her role as a chiropractic physician, Dr. Jess earned a Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida in 2017. She also possesses a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech.
Dr. Jess has the following additional credentials:
- A Diplomate from the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (DACNB)
- A Fellow from the American College of Functional Neurology (FACFN)
- Certification in Level 1 Activator Methods
In addition, Dr. Jess has completed over 500 hours of continuing education in clinical neuroscience and has lectured on this subject as well. She also has taken courses from Motion Palpation Institute (she is a national representative for MPI).
Also, Dr. Jess has taken courses in Applied Kinesiology (AK) and extremity adjusting. She is continuously looking for new courses to take to learn and stay updated on the latest within the health profession.
Helping Patients Using a Natural Approach
For Dr. Jess, it’s highly fulfilling to help people find relief and feel their best without the use of medication. She enjoys seeing patients heal using a natural approach and achieving things they once could not do or thought they would never be able to do.
Outside the Practice
When she’s not caring for patients’ spines, Dr. Jess enjoys spending quality time with her fiancé Kevin, her baby boy Grayson and their dog Nala.
A fitness lover, Dr. Jess enjoys staying active each day through movement and exercise. She particularly enjoys hiking, kayaking and paddleboarding.
Fun fact: Dr. Jess lived in Bali, Indonesia for a month to obtain certification as a yoga teacher. She is now a 200-hour registered yoga instructor; Dr. Jess only uses her training for fun and her personal yoga practice.
